ORGANIZED CHAOSSSSSS!

So today was my first contract day with J.Jill. I'm currently working in the creative department for the catalog. Today was more of a 'test' to see if I had what it takes to concept, design and crack jokes at the same time. You know, something I clearly do on a daily basis as it is! LOL It was VERY intense. Today was a major deadline for one of the catalogs going into review. Which meant people were running around in meetings and frantically running back and forth to the printer like a chicken with its head cut off!

My poor little creative mind is mush at the moment. I felt like a machine! It was exciting though. I was working alongside the two art directors there - doing conceptual layouts and designs for the inside covers of the catalogs. Granted, I cranked out about 15 double page spreads. And if you're a designer and you're reading this, you feel my pain.

But all in all it was good to be busy again and look up and realize the clock on your computer says 5:00 and it's time to go home. I like days like that. Keeps ya busy. :)

So basically today and tomorrow are my only days I am contracting. I hope something comes of it by the end of the week if not next week. I know its a solid position to fill but who knows.
